I had hours of flights and layovers and The Hidden Ship kept me highly entertained during my travels. The characters are great and the tension never lets up. This was similar to the Scrapyard series Mark wrote, which I also loved. I highly recommend the book if you enjoy sci-fi adventure.
Man that was awesome. I don't suppose we could see the further adventures of Captain Polk in a follow on book? I enjoyed the action, just like all that crazy action packed fighting in the Scrapyard series. Thanks for a GoodRead.

Great moments of tension built into a sweeping, cohesive storyline. I read this in two sittings, very hard to put down!
This was a fun book to read. I have always liked reading Mark Wayne McGinnis books. It is fun to read what he comes up with.
The author spins some interesting stories but doesn't finish them so you are left with cliff hangars. I would recommend waiting till he completes some other story arcs before reading this one. It's the only real pressure you can apply on an author.
A well written book that kept my attention without going off on boring tangents unrelated to the basic story. And a book that tied it altogether at the end. I liked it that the author had a good idea for his plot and didn't drag it out into a multi volume series. I would sooner read a good standalone book than a series where the first volume is good but each succeeding book has a weaker and weaker story.
I like alien invasion stories, and the author is a very good writer.I have read most of his books and my entertainment will continue with any of his future books..If we look around we may see that not everyone agrees with the side they are on at the time.
